REPREVE ® It is a choice of your brand to tell a story about oceans and seafood. From this special perspective, give your customers a unique product description and establish business relations.

  • Rescue dangerous drifting bottles

    Rescue dangerous drifting bottles

REPREVE ® It is specially from drifting bottles that are likely to flow into the sea, which is the fundamental reason for dealing with marine plastics. Bottles are collected in countries within 50K from the coastline or in areas that lack formal waste or recycling systems, so your brand can play a greater role in solving the problem of marine pollution and developing recycling in the risk of developing plastics into the sea.

  • Marine garbage

Marine garbage refers to persistent, man-made or processed solid waste in the marine and coastal environment. Some of these marine garbage stay on the coast with the tide, and the other part floats on the sea surface or sinks into the seabed. The marine garbage in the Pacific alone has reached more than 3 million square kilometers, even exceeding the land area of India. The harm of these marine garbage is not only to affect and threaten the natural ecological environment or the growth and survival of wild animals and plants, but also to human beings themselves.
  • Marine garbage is divided into two categories:

Fixed objects, floating objects and micro plastics

The test results show that the marine garbage floating on the sea surface mainly includes plastic bags, floating wood blocks, buoys and plastic bottles. The classified statistical results of floating garbage on the sea surface show that the amount of plastic garbage is the largest, accounting for 41%, followed by polystyrene plastic foam garbage and wooden garbage, accounting for 19% and 15% respectively; Many studies have confirmed that inshore seawater is the most concentrated area of marine microplastics, and about 70% of plastic pollutants will eventually sink to the seabed, and the rest will be suspended in seawater.
  • What is microplastics?

Plastic products cannot be digested and decomposed in animals. Eating them by mistake will cause stomach discomfort, abnormal movement, decreased fertility and even death. Through the food chain, these microplastics ingested by marine organisms will eventually enter the top of the biological chain - human body, which is dangerous to human health. Plastic is the most important kind of marine garbage, and microplastics refers to a mixture of heterogeneous plastic particles with particle sizes ranging from a few microns to a few millimeters and various shapes. Microplastics in the sea are vividly called "PM2.5" in the sea. Microplastics in the ocean can be divided into "primary" microplastics and "secondary" microplastics.

Hazards of marine garbage

  • Cause visual pollution

  • Threaten navigation safety

  • "Death traps" (fishing nets) of marine mammals

  • Swallowed by sea creatures as food

  • Seriously endangering the health of marine ecosystem

Xiaoxings marine protection plan

Xiaoxing is turning marine garbage into treasure through the marine protection program, and made a key introduction at the outdoor retailer summer market held in Denver, USA, from June 9 to 11, 2022. The plan began with the development of MIPAN regen Ocean nylon and recycled marine fiber of Xiaoxing, both of which are made of marine waste.

Mipan regen ocean has passed GRS certification, and 100% recycled nylon is made of waste fishing nets and other recycled nylon waste. Xiaoxing carries out extensive collection and chemical recycling, and develops and produces high-quality yarns that meet the brand's expectations.
